This delicious and refreshing mango smoothie is great year round. It features mango, bananas and sherbet for an impactful mango flavor.

How was your weekend? Mine was filled with tantrums, laughter, and this tasty smoothie. Morning Smoothies are to me what a cup (or two or three) of coffee is to most. Shh, I am not judging.

    💖Reasons to Love this Recipe

    • Quick and easy: it's so easy to put together; the hard part is waiting for the fruits to puree.
    • Fun for the family: I love to get the family involved when we experiment with smoothies. This was an accidental recipe, and I am glad it happened.
    • Healthy benefits: This healthy mango smoothie is packed with vitamins A and C and is rich in fiber and antioxidants.

My banana cream popsicles are highly recommended if you want something utterly rich. If you are like my cousin and detest mangoes, I am sure you'll love this colorful, antioxidant-packed oat milk smoothie. If that doesn't make your taste buds palpate, this energy-boosting banana and spinach smoothie should do the trick.

Enough of the yapping. I know you want the darn recipe. Let's get down to it, shall we?

    📃Ingredient Description

    fresh mangoes in a bowl.
    •  Frozen mango: You can use fresh mangoes if that's what you have on hand. Add ice cubes and increase the amount of mangoes the recipe calls for. I used honey mangos for this recipe.
    •  Banana
    •  Orange: freshly squeezed orange juice (from 1 large orange)
    • Sherbet: I used mango sherbet to add texture and sweetness to this recipe. the mango flavor intensifies the drink, so it's highly recommended.
    • Lemon juice: freshly squeezed lemons add a tart flavor to the drink and balance out the sweetness.

    💭Variations and Substitutions

    📝Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Place the mango, banana, sherbet, lemon, and orange juice into a blender.

Step 2: Blend until it's smooth and without lumps.

Step 3: Transfer into a serving glass. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 8 hours.

    👩🏽‍🍳Maur's Tips

    • You'll need a high-powered blender or food processor to blend this smoothie properly and achieve the thick, ice cream-like consistency. I love the budget-friendly one linked in the recipe card under equipment.
    • If you'd like your smoothies thicker, add a handful of ice cubes or more fruits. Add some water, coconut water, or sugar-free liquid if you want a thinner consistency.

I don't like mango smoothies because their consistency is normally thicker than I prefer it. But hey...yours looks so yummy! I'm getting convinced and would love to try it too: your garnish is on point!

Amy, you can use avocado, chia seed (soak in water for five minutes prior), applesauce (unsweetened), papaya, or good ole coconut cream as a substitute for banana. I hope these helps.
