It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner; thankfully, with this Crisp, slightly tart apple cider martini, you'll have every reason to celebrate and keep the holiday traditions despite how tough this year has been.
If you love martinis, then you've got to try my vodka and pineapple cocktail.
Although you might not be able to visit or celebrate with family this year, you can make this pomegranate juice cocktail and schedule a zoom sip and taste soirée. Why not! Let all the good times roll as you sip this fall cocktail and create a new memory with loved ones.
Ingredients used
To make this apple cider Pomegranate cocktail, you'll need the following;
- Pomegranate juice (100%) or substitute with real pomegranate syrup
- Vodka: I used top-of-the-shelf vodka brands like Grey goose. Brands like Absolut, Ciroc, Belvedere, and Svedka are great choices.
- Apple cider: I used an unsweetened cider.
- Angostura orange bitters: A few drops go a long way.
- Agave syrup: any simple syrup works fine.
- Elderflower tonic water: I swear by the Fever-Tree brand; if you can get your hands on it, go for it.
Substitutions/Variation
This fall martini cocktail could easily be a mocktail; omit the vodka and angostura bitters. The taste won't be the same, but you can make it your own. I'll advise using flavored tonic water, alcohol-free gin (yes, it's a thing), or AF sparkling wine. Also, you can use a mixture of grape juice and lime juice splash.
How to make the Apple Cider Cocktail
Step 1. Add the ice cubes to a shaker. You can also use a mason jar if you don't have a shaker.
Step 2. Add the pomegranate juice, vodka, apple cider, Angostura orange bitters, and agave syrup.
Step 3. Shake vigorously to incorporate. Gently strain the mixture into a serving glass.
Step 4. You can garnish with apple slices, pomegranate wedges, or herbs. It's up to you.
Speaking of fall cocktails, have you tried our smoretini a.k.a s'mores martini? It's the best liquid version of a campfire snack.
